There’s no concern that Korean car manufacturers are pushing the limits of car style today. Hyundai has the insane Sonata, and Genesis is headlights that appear like forks. However, it seems Kia does not want to be left behind and will make its mark with the all-new Optima.
2021 Kia Optima Design
The Optima, sold in Korea under the K5 name, is a sibling car to the Sonata. We don’t know how far the similarities will go but anticipate a slightly more traditional front end from Kia. On the other hand, designers are going crazy with the roofing system, which streams to the taillights for that fastback appearance.
The rear windshield is sloped and round, deceiving you into believing this is a liftback. The curve of the roofing system is somewhat comparable to the new Sonata, but Optima models to add a thick piece of metallic trim over the top of the doors. This makes the marking procedure harder and will make consumers wonder if they desire that boring Passat.
2021 Kia Optima Rumors
Rumors talk of all sort of variations after the normal sedan comes out. The obvious one is a hybrid since Hyundai made one too. This model will integrate a 2-liter making 152 HP and 188 Nm (139 pound-feet) and a 52 HP electrical motor. If that’s not cool enough, it assures a total range of 1,300 km (808 miles) and a solar roofing system. Simply like with the previous models, the hybrid will quickly be adapted into a plug-in hybrid too.
But because Kia enjoys its European consumers, it plans to use the 2021 Optima as a wagon/shooting brake too. Offered how hot the Proceed GT looks, we can’t wait for that to occur. Speaking of GTs, a rumored 275-300 horsepower, AWD Optima GT is apparently under development. Plus, when in Europe, you’ve got to have types of diesel.
